Portsmouth Area Rifle Association

Membership to the Portsmouth Area Rifle Association is open to all serving members of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines borne on the books of HM Ships and establishments within the Portsmouth Area and South-east England. Reserve personnel and members of other Services on exchange duty may take part in the area Combat Shooting Competition (CSC), and are eligible for selection to represent Portsmouth at the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Skill At Arms meeting held annually at Bisley. However, only regular Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel and Reserve personnel engaged on Full-time Reserve Service (FTRS) commitments can compete for the award of HM The Queen's Medal.

The 2008 Combat Shooting Competition took place 12 - 16 May at Pirbright, Surrey.
