06 Jul 11 - Royal Navy Officer Wins Queen’s Medal For A Second Consecutive Year:

Lt Dave Anderson RN has won the annual Queen’s Medal for Champion Shot in the Royal Navy and Royal Marines for a second consecutive time.

Lt Anderson commenced the final match with a lead in excess of 200 points over LAET Robynne Brown. In third place was POAEM McGuerty and in fourth place was POAEM Woodhouse RNR. All four competed for the Naval Air Command.

RNRMRA Combat Shooting Competition

The annual RNRMRA Combat Shooting practice week and competition takes place from Saturday 26 June until Friday 09 July.

At the 6th annual RNRMRA on 28 June, Lt Larry Branyan, former Hon Sec was dined out, awarded Honorary Life membership and presented with a hand painted figurine.

The top 20 firers in the RNRMRA Combat Shooting Competition take part in the Queen’s Medal final followed by prize giving at the Artists Rifles Clubhouse.
