Membership to the Portsmouth Area Clay Pigeon Club (PACPC)  is open to all serving and retired members of the Armed Forces, their Reserves and members of the general public.  English Sporting, Down the Line (DTL), Compact and Snooker competitions are held twice monthly on a Sunday morning (1000 - 1230) every month of the year on Tipner Range, Portsmouth.  Shoots may at times be cancelled at short notice if the range is required for Service purposes.  Check with the Secretary in advance to confirm that a shoot has not been cancelled.

Bob MortlockPractice shoots are held on Tuesday evenings during the Summer months (confirm in advance with the Secretary).

Club guns are available for use.  Shotgun cartridges may be purchased (12G - £4.00/25 & 20G - £4.50/25) on the ground from the clubhouse - discounts are available for bulk purchase.  The members ground fee for 50 birds is £8.00 (£16.00/100 birds).  Visitors are most welcome, although regular attendees will be encouraged to join.  The visitors ground fee for 50 birds is £10.00 (£20.00/100 birds).  For members and visitors who are either Juniors or Young Shots the ground fee is waived.

Mick CullenMembership fee from 1 May 2008 is £61 per annum, of which £10 goes to the Club and £51 is for club membership to the British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC).  Junior membership is £20 to cover the BASC club fee.  Membership of BASC provides up to £5 million legal liability cover, £10 million employer's liability insurance and £5 million product liability cover when engaged in BASC - recognised activities (recreational activities only).

Visitors wishing to purchase cartridges should bring a copy of their Shotgun certificate with them.  Only Fibre wad cartridges may be used on the ground.   Firers should aim to arrive at the clubhouse (green portacabin situated behind the Range Office) by 0915 to assist in the set-up of the range.  Ear defenders must be worn in the vicinity of live firing.
