Royal Navy and Royal Marines Smallbore Rifle Association The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Smallbore Rifle Club (RNRMSRA) is the governing body for Smallbore Target Rifle competition within the Royal Navy. Membership of the RNRMSRA is open to all serving members of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines who have reached Inter-Services standard. Inter-Services prone and three positional PSK (Prone, Standing and Kneeling) competitions are held twice a year at the NSRA Lord Roberts Centre, Bisley. An Inter-Services postal competition is also held during the winter months.
Two active Smallbore Target Rifle clubs exist in the Portsmouth area. HMS Sultan boasts the last remaining UK military indoor 50m range and is located in one of the casements at Fort Grange within HMS Sultan. Personnel from any ship or establishment in the Portsmouth area are eligible to join, and tuition is available for complete beginners. Smallbore 0.22 rifles (mostly Anschutz Match 54) and all other required equipment are available for use by club members.
(4 RNRMSRA rifles are available for use by members and tuition is offered for beginners) Contact the Secretary for further details.
