Royal Navy and Royal Marines Target Pistol Association Membership to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Target Pistol Association is open to all serving members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and their Reserves. Training sessions and Inter-Service competitions are held throughout the year. The Association owns 10 Steyr LP5 Compensator (now superseded by the LP50) five shot air pistols, which are available for use by members of the Target Pistol squad. Competitions are held under ISSF rules and take place at Bisley - indoors at 10m using the NSRA Lord Roberts range and outdoors at 25m using either the NRA Cheylesmore or Melville ranges. Those taking part in training sessions are required to make a personal donation of £5 (2006) per day to offset the cost of hiring the Lord Roberts indoor range and must purchase their own tins of pellets used for training purposes. Contact the Adjutant for further details.
