Royal Naval Reserve Rifle Association

Membership to the Royal Naval Reserve Rifle Association is open to all serving members of the Royal Naval Reserve.  In order to take part in the annual Skill At Arms meeting at Bisley, personnel should have attended a formal OG518 5.56mm Rifle course at either NMTS Raleigh or NMTE Excellent.  They should be in date for the 2 monthly Weapon Handling Test (WHT), Naval Annual Personal Weapons Test (NAPWT), and will be required to produce their personal Firing History Sheet for inspection by the Chief Range Officer.

Due to numbers wanting to attend the Skill At Arms meeting, each Reserve Unit will initially be limited to entering one team of five competitors.  Personnel may be allowed to shoot as individuals in cases where units can not field a full team.  All Reserve Units who enter a team will be required to supply at least one member of permanent staff (preferably an in-date Range Conducting Officer) to assist in the administration of the meeting.

Accommodation will be on the sports field at ATR Pirbright.  Teams must bring their own tents, camp beds and sleeping bags etc.  Victualling will be in the all ranks mess for breakfast and dinner.  Bag meals will be provided for lunch. As in previous years, a BBQ will take place on Sat 07 Jul 07 in the vicinity of the accommodation on completion of the International Falling Plates competition.  Prize giving will take place at the London and Middlesex Rifle Association, Bisley on Sun 01 Jul.  Light refreshments will be provided.

The 2007 Skill At Arms meeting will take place 06 - 08 Jul at Ash and Nelson Ranges in Surrey.  Contact the Secretary for further details.
